About

MsHorror is a blog about the world of horror, the supernatural and the great unknown. It also touches on the real world – as so often the two collide. Much to talk about. I hope you’ll join us…

The Horror genre is an interesting one. It can encompass anything from slasher movies to alien abduction, and that’s why I love it. I think it’s safe to say that anything even slightly twisted, scary, and mysterious can squeeze into this category. I’d like to dedicate this page to discussing the horror genre in all its gory glory. From books, to movies, websites, and documentaries, we’ll cover it all…eventually. We’ll also explore and discuss unexplained phenomena and real life cases of paranormal activity. And as the title of this blog suggests, we’ll be giving some much needed attention to the women of horror – authors, filmmakers, bloggers, and all the gals who love to watch and read this stuff.

Just to get started, Stephen King is my favorite author in this genre, followed closely by Peter Straub, James Herbert, Clive Barker, and Daphne DuMaurier. Among film directors I admire are Eli Roth, Wes Craven, Danny Boyle and George A. Romero.

I’m also an aspiring novelist writing as Alison Hill in this genre – so stay tuned for my books.
